Product description
The NEC point-to-point (PtP) portfolio provides carrier-class wireless technology for the fast and reliable transmission of voice, data, and video applications. The NEC iPASOLINK VR2 is a split-mount microwave system with extensive features in the 6–42 GHz frequency range. Thanks to its compact, flexible, and modular design, the NEC iPASOLINK VR10 is highly versatile, allowing for the combination of all-outdoor and split-mount systems.
With "split-mount" technology, the modem units and numerous other active transmission options are housed in an indoor unit (IDU). A coaxial cable connects the indoor unit to the outdoor unit (ODU), which is then connected to the antenna.
The iPASOLINK VR2 IDU can be equipped with up to 2 modems and supports channel bandwidths of up to 56 MHz. This enables data transmission speeds of up to 680 Mbit/s full duplex; when combining two radio links (XPIC), data rates of up to 1,360 Mbit/s full duplex are achievable. To meet potential security requirements, AES encryption is also available.
Various outdoor units are available depending on your requirements. In addition to the standard version, high-power versions (for long distances) or sub-band-free versions (e.g., for spare inventory) can also be used.
The VR series supports multi-level modulation of up to 4096QAM, the highest level available for microwave solutions.
