Product description

The Cambium PTP550E is an innovative point-to-point wireless bridge system offering up to 1.4 Gbps TDD throughput in the unlicensed, extended 5 GHz frequency band (4.9 – 6.2 GHz).

‍

With its massive throughput and specialized interference avoidance mechanisms, the PTP550 provides a highly reliable and quickly deployable alternative to licensed microwave links. The IP66/67-rated die-cast outdoor enclosure houses three (!) integrated radios. Two radios each deliver up to 700 Mbps throughput at 80 MHz channel bandwidth and can be deployed flexibly depending on the use case. The third radio enables frequency spectrum analysis independent of data traffic.

‍

The PTP550E is available with an integrated antenna or as a connectorized version for use with external antennas. Dynamic Channel Selection (DCS) automatically and continuously identifies the optimal operating channel to maximize link reliability and performance. Especially in areas with high 5 GHz congestion, it actively searches for available spectrum and switches channels seamlessly. An unbeatable price-performance ratio, combined with best-in-class PTP features, creates outstanding business cases for solutions in the license-free 5 GHz band.
