Product description

The Cambium PTP670 was designed to meet the massive increase in enterprise requirements for users such as service providers, government agencies, and operators of critical infrastructure in the license-free 5 GHz frequency band. As an addition to the PTP670 series, this variant meets the requirements of the following safety standards:

ATEX (Europe): Equipment Group II, Category 3, Zone 2 and IIC HAZLOC (North America):

HAZLOC Class 1, Division 2, Gas Groups A, B, C, D. With a total throughput of up to 450 Mbps, variable channel bandwidths in the 5-45 MHz range, and latency of 1-3ms, reliable transmissions are possible even under challenging conditions. Typical applications include backhaul connections, ad-hoc applications (e.g., disaster relief), video surveillance, or WiFi backhaul connections.

‍

Furthermore, Cambium Networks combines best-in-class spectral efficiency and reliability with the flexibility of a point-to-multipoint system (HCMP). This allows up to 8 nodes to be connected to a single PTP670 outdoor unit. The PTP670 is available with an integrated antenna or as a connectorized version (for use with a separate antenna). Power is supplied via the Ethernet interface using PoE, and data connectivity can optionally be provided via an SFP interface.

Additionally, a PoE-out (802.3at) port allows for the seamless connection of further devices, such as video cameras.

‍

Dynamic Spectrum Optimization (DSO) continuously optimizes the operating channel to maximize transmission reliability and performance. This allows for maximum data throughput using less frequency spectrum, even under the most difficult conditions. Successful projects around the world, from Nepal to the Antarctic, have already been implemented using the PTP670.
