Product description

The Cambium PTP700 is specifically designed for the most demanding and ad-hoc requirements in the extended unlicensed 5 GHz frequency band (4.4 – 5.925 GHz) as well as the 7.125 – 8.500 GHz range. This system is optimally configured for specialized military requirements and public safety tasks. In addition to advanced ATEX/HAZLOC safety standards (see also PTP670 ATEX), it offers compatibility with NATO Band IV and MIL-STD-810G requirements. With a total throughput of up to 450 Mbps, variable channel bandwidths in the 5-45 MHz range, and latency of 1-3ms, it enables reliable transmission even under challenging conditions. The MIL-STD-810G certification, in particular, allows for deployment in the most difficult climatic environments. Typical applications include backhaul connections, ad-hoc applications (e.g., disaster relief), video surveillance, and WiFi backhaul links.

‍

Furthermore, Cambium Networks combines best-in-class spectral efficiency and reliability with the flexibility of a point-to-multipoint (HCMP) system. Up to 8 nodes can be connected to a single PTP700 outdoor unit. The PTP670 is available with an integrated antenna or as a connectorized version (for use with a separate antenna). The integrated version can also be used with an external antenna. Power is supplied via the Ethernet interface using PoE, and data connectivity can optionally be provided via an SFP interface.

Additionally, a PoE-out (802.3at) port allows for the seamless connection of further devices, such as video cameras.

‍

Dynamic Spectrum Optimization (DSO) continuously optimizes the operating channel to maximize transmission reliability and performance. This allows for maximum data throughput using less frequency spectrum, even under the most difficult conditions. Successful projects around the world, from Nepal to the Antarctic, have already been implemented using the PTP670.
