Product description
DESIGNED FOR HIGH DENSITY AND CAPACITY
The XV3-8 Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point features five radios to deliver a high-capacity next-generation network. Three data radios can be configured as two 5 GHz 4x4 radios plus one 2.4 GHz 4x4 radio, or the two 5 GHz radios can be combined into a single 5 GHz 8x8 radio for maximum power and performance under the 802.11ax standard. A dedicated network scanning radio provides continuous monitoring to improve security protocols, detailed network reporting, and automatic RF optimization. With the addition of a Bluetooth Smart 4.1 IoT radio for BLE-based location services, you get a high-capacity, multi-radio Wi-Fi 6 AP designed for the most demanding enterprise, education, retail, and venue networks.
FLEXIBLE ADAPTATION TO THE ENVIRONMENT
In networks dominated by legacy 802.11ac client devices, the dual 5 GHz 4x4 mode doubles network capacity to maintain bandwidth-intensive applications even as client density increases. As the number of Wi-Fi 6 devices on the network grows, the XV3-8 SDR can quickly switch to full 8x8 operation with a simple configuration change. No firmware update is required to support this mode.
CLOUD AND ON-PREMISES MANAGEMENT
The XV3-8 can be managed via on-premises or Cambium Networks' intelligent cloud management systems, XMS or cnMaestro™. Choose the management system that best fits your business and leverage the latest technology from Cambium Networks.
Cambium XMS utilizes intelligent access points (APs) with an integrated edge controller to deliver maximum capacity at any network density. The XMS management layer is based on cloud-first technology with a simple and user-friendly interface. This enables L7 policy-based application control, secure EasyPass BYOD access, and offers an MSP dashboard with drag-and-drop design. The XMS management architecture supports SDR to operate the XV2-2 radio via single 5 GHz 8x8 or dual 5 GHz 4x4.
Cambium cnMaestro™ uses a distributed intelligence architecture that includes cloud-first management and intelligent APs that self-optimize for the RF environment. Cambium broadband fixed wireless, cnMatrix Ethernet switches, enterprise-grade Wi-Fi APs, and service provider residential routers can be managed centrally via a single interface.
cnMaestro™ is already included in the device price.
