The RUTC50 features dual SIM with auto-failover, five Gigabit Ethernet ports, and GNSS for precise positioning. The RUTC50 supports both SA and NSA 5G architectures and is backward compatible with 4G (Cat 20) and 3G to ensure robust and reliable performance.

Use Case 1: 5G Connectivity to Wi-Fi

In this scenario, we integrate the Teltonika RUTC50 router into a private 5G campus network. The router acts as an uplink, providing Wi-Fi via its integrated access point or additional access points connected to the LAN ports. Wireless 5G connectivity eliminates the need to run LAN cables to individual access points. This allows production areas, office spaces, or outdoor areas to be equipped with Wi-Fi cost-effectively, quickly, and flexibly.

Use Case 2: Managed Services

The Teltonika RUTC50 router serves as our central interface for management and maintenance purposes. The cellular connection allows us to access our microwave radio links and other network components to perform configurations or troubleshoot issues. This enables remote access to critical infrastructure without requiring anyone to be physically on-site. Furthermore, 5G connectivity is helpful if other transmission technologies (e.g., fiber optics) temporarily fail, ensuring continued access to devices and systems.

Use Case 3: IoT Gateways (4G/5G or 450 MHz)

In this environment, we use the Teltonika RUTC50 router as a gateway to enable the connection of IoT devices. Common examples include sensors, machines, and other networked components whose data must be transmitted to a central system without delay.
